Hertz named UK superbrand

Hertz has been named as a top ten business brand in the UK by ‘Superbrands,’ a global independent arbiter that represents expert and consumer opinion on the UK’s strongest brands.  Marques were assessed on three main criteria: quality, reliability and distinction, and were voted for by the Business Superbrands Council and over 1400 business professionals.

The only car rental company to achieve ranking in the top 10, Hertz takes its place among the elite of leading business giants, including the BBC, who topped the pole, Microsoft, British Airways, BT, Google, BP, Vodafone, Apple and Rolls-Royce Group.

Neil Cunningham, general manager at Hertz UK Ltd, commented: ‘It is gratifying that Hertz has been recognised and positioned amongst other household names and renowned brands such as the BBC and BT.  Hertz is nearly 100 years old and while maintaining our brand heritage, we have continued to develop and invest in the brand to maintain a modern and strong image.’

To attain a position in the renowned listing, Hertz is considered to stand up against the following definition: “a Business Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and or tangible advantages over its competitors, which consciously or sub-consciously customers want, recognise, and are confident about investing in.”
