Hilton’s housekeepers are expected to be extra busy this weekend as they go about resetting their 17,250 new clock radios that are currently being rolled out across the UK and Ireland estate.

The clock radios are being introduced as part of Hilton’s £81million investment programme for 2007 - which will see a fresh ‘face’ for Hilton in the UK and Ireland.

The clock radio has been custom designed for Hilton after research that suggested that more than 57% of business travellers worried about sleeping past their alarm, and 41% of respondents would rather wake up to music instead of a buzzer.

The new clock radios are being placed in Hilton’s 15,300 bedrooms around the UK & Ireland - including the two brand new Hilton hotels due to open in Limerick and Dublin, Kilmainham this Spring - and marks the first phase of Hilton’s world wide roll-out of some exciting new in room amenities.
