Spas of America hits milestone

Spas of America have listed their 500th spa, which is also first wine spa experience: the Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley, California.
“Spas of America is pleased to welcome the Bernardus Lodge and Spa as a premium member listing,” says Spas of America president and founder Craig Oliver. “Set among the oaks and vineyards of the scenic Carmel Valley, the Bernardus Lodge has a well-earned reputation for fine cuisine, an enviable wine collection and a pampering spa. The lodge’s presence on Spas of America benefits our existing spa listings and provides our targeted audience with another fabulous option when seeking new and exciting health and wellness travel experiences.”

Mike Oprish, GM of the Bernardus Lodge, says: “Our spa is a perfect complement to the natural beauty of Carmel Valley, which offers serenity, rejuvenation and indulgence. We are excited about introducing our unique experience to Spas of America’s targeted Spa & Wellness audience.”

According to the Bernardus listing on Spas of America, the spa’s signature treatment is the Chardonnay Pedicure, a luxuriously decadent vinotherapy. Guests of the spa please their palate with wine and cheese while soaking their feet in chardonnay bubble bath, followed by an opulent sugarcane and grape seed scrub to lightly exfoliate the skin. Chardonnay moisturizer, detailed nail care and a choice of polish complete the treatment.
