Cautious US welcome for open skies

The Air Transport Association, representing US airlines, has issued an appropriately cautious welcome to the tentative U.S.-European Union (EU) Open Skies
Agreement.
“While we have not seen the details, this tentative agreement has the
potential for creating new avenues of economic development between the
U.S. and Europe. We are pleased that the parties were able to work
through the issues to reach this result. We all look forward to
developing a more complete understanding of what is envisioned,” said
ATA President and CEO James C. May.
