Kuoni unveils first Sri Lankan brochure

Kuoni Travel has launched its
first ever dedicated Sri Lanka brochure offering a comprehensive variety of escorted tours, beach retreats, all inclusive beach hotels and tailor made itineraries.
Commenting, Sue Biggs, Managing Director Kuoni UK says:  ‘Kuoni has
featured Sri Lanka for many years - and it has long been a favourite
destination for our customers.  In one beautiful island, it encompasses
a huge array of choice - ranging from wildlife adventures to beach
escapes; from cultural tours to bustling cities.  Currently at Number
Seven in our Top Ten, Sri Lanka has experienced a difficult few years
following on from the tsunami.  We have joined together with Sri Lankan
Airlines, our hotel partners and the tourist board to create a dedicated
brochure with some enticing offers and tempting holidays to once more
raise the profile of Sri Lanka as a favourite holiday destination.

Since the tsunami, there has been extensive investment in refurbishments
of hotels and these have really paid off - the island has not looked so
good for many years - and in this respect, there’s never been a better
time to visit.  The warmth and hospitality of the people, the superb
choice of holidays on offer, combined with the incredible value for
money that the destination represents should be a winning combination
for 2007.’

Jean Marc Flambert, Director, Sri Lankan Tourism, in welcoming the
brochure, says ‘Kuoni has shown great commitment to Sri Lanka, in
particular over the past few years and their support, as the Number One
operator to Sri Lanka, is very meaningful.  The launch of this
dedicated brochure is great news for Sri Lanka and we look forward to
seeing a very positive impact as a result.  As well as having the most
comprehensive range of quality accommodation and holidays to the
country, when booking with Kuoni, you can be sure of expert advice and
intimate knowledge of the destination, given that a large number of
their sales team have actually visited and experienced all that Sri
Lanka has to offer.’
