Thai Airways International has announced healthy group travel figures to
Thailand from the Middle East during the month of January. Five separate groups from the Middle East enjoyed the convenience of two
(2) daily flights from Dubai to Bangkok during the first month of 2007,
with final destinations including Bangkok and the northern city of
Chiang Mai. Groups ranged from 20 to 150 passengers from educational
institutions, banking and government sectors.

Thailand has long been a popular destination with travellers from the
Middle East, further enhanced by smooth connections on THAI from Kuwait,
Oman and the UAE. The airline has also been instrumental in developing
specialist tours to Thailand, such as the cyclists from Dubai who are
currently planning a 3rd bike tour of the Kingdom in late 2007.
