Sabre opens Oman office

Sabre has stepped up its expansion plans in the Middle East with the opening a new office in Oman.
The opening ceremony, held in the Ernst and Young Building in the Al Qurum District, was attended by guest of honour H.E. Mohammed Al-Al Amri, Oman’s Under Secretary for civil aviation and Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO Sabre Travel Network Middle East, along with members of Sabre Holding’s Board of Directors and senior Sabre management from the United States and the United Kingdom.

“The opening of our new office in Oman demonstrates our significant and sustained investment in the region and signifies the growth potential we see in Muscat. So far this year we have succeeded in increasing our market share to over 50% by solidifying our relationship with all Omani travel agencies and guaranteeing our continued full market penetration. We believe that, by extending our global capabilities to meet the growing needs of the local Omani market, we will be providing a compelling and competitive proposition to our travel trade customers in this magnificent country,” commented Naoumovitch.

The Oman office opening will also mark the signing of a new three-year contract between Sabre Travel Network Middle East and National Travel and Tourism (NTT).
