VLM makes web enhancements

VLM Airlines has launched an internet check-in facility for its passengers. At the same time, the carrier has enhanced its website at www.flyvlm.com and revealed that it will be introducing check-in kiosks at Manchester Airport.
Internet check-in will allow VLM Airlines’ customers, many of whom are business travellers with hand luggage only, to check-in from the comfort of their own home or office up to 30 hours prior to departure.

During the online check-in process, which can be used up to two hours prior to departure, passengers can select the seat of their choice, and print a bar-coded boarding pass, allowing them to proceed directly to security and onwards to the gate at the airport of departure. The service is currently available for all flights except those departing from Luxembourg, Brussels and Jersey, where this will be introduced by the end of the year.

In a further effort to streamline and simplify the check-in process, VLM Airlines’ passengers departing from Manchester Airport from later this month will be able to use self-service “Express Check-in” kiosks. Simply using the credit card used to make their booking, their unique booking reference or passport, passengers will be able to select their seats and print their own boarding cards. Any passengers with hold luggage to be checked in can use the “Fast Bag Drop” lane in the VLM Check-In Area.

As these new amenities are introduced, VLM Airlines’ website at www.flyvlm.com has been overhauled and enhanced. The site is now more transparent, and has a faster, easy-to-use booking engine which now also provides a wider range of available fares, allowing the passenger to better choose the most convenient fare type with the appropriate flexibility for changes and cancellations.
