Delta opens NYC, Montego Bay service

Air Lines is putting a little Reggae in its ongoing expansion at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with a new nonstop flight to Montego Bay, Jamaica, effective June 9. The route is the latest in a series of more than a dozen new Caribbean flights that Delta has announced, added or applied to serve in the last year.

“Delta continues to be bullish on New York and is pleased with the results of our ongoing expansion at JFK,” said Glen Hauenstein, executive vice president - Network Planning and Revenue Management. “We are responding to our customers’ demands, and we’re pleased to offer more nonstop service from JFK to exciting leisure destinations in the Caribbean and beyond as we build JFK into a world-class Delta hub.” Delta’s new flights between New York and Montego Bay complement existing service from Atlanta to Kingston and Montego Bay and are scheduled as follows:

Travelers can take advantage of Delta’s new service with a special low introductory fare of $99 one way based on a round-trip purchase for travel between New York (JFK) and Montego Bay for reservations made at delta.com or through a travel agent. Customers must act quickly, for tickets at these special fares must be purchased by March 2 with travel completed by Oct. 27, 2007. Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply.
