New CEO appointed at Dubailand

Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding, today announced the appointment of UAE national Mohammed Al Habbai as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Dubailand. Al Habbai, who was previously Dubailand’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, takes up his new role with immediate effect from Salem Bin Dasmal, who has recently been appointed as Vice President - Business Development and Marketing, Tatweer.

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Tatweer said: ‘Mohammed has consistently proven himself at the highest level, and his appointment as the CEO was the next logical step. An effective team player, he has been instrumental in supporting the Dubailand vision, and will play a pivotal role in shaping its emergence within the global tourism and leisure sector.’

Equipped with extensive professional know-how of the travel industry acquired from a 15-year experience with Emirates Airlines as Area Manager in Dubai, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Egypt, and Switzerland, Al Habbai has a geographically diverse perspective of the industry worldwide. With training programmes in the UAE, India, Sri Lanka, UK, Thailand and Pakistan, he has further enhanced his first-hand understanding of the global tourism sector.

On his role with Dubailand, Al Habbai said: ‘I am very proud to be given an opportunity to lead one of the most promising yet challenging projects not only in Dubai, but also in the region. This new role presents me with further opportunity to pilot a unique multi-faceted product of extraordinary vision.’

Al Habbai holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Salem University, West Virginia, US.


Currently developing a variety of projects, Dubailand will comprise unique theme parks, rides, cultural adventures and other avenues of entertainment, including Aqua Dunya, Snowdome, a Polo and Equestrian Club, Dubai Sports City , City of Arabia, Motor City, Dubai Golf City, Al Sahra Desert Resort, Legends Dubailand and Dubai Great Wheel.
