Betteridge takes incentive role at Sofitel

Raccine Betteridge has been appointed to the role of Conference & Incentive Sales Manager at Sofitel Hotels
and Resorts.  A graduate of the University of California Raccine trained with Marriott
hotels in sales management both in the USA and the UK. Raccine began her
career at the Dorset Hotel in New York working on international business
development for corporate, leisure and group markets. She moved to London
where she had sales and marketing roles at The Milestone Hotel and Virgin
Hotels and in 1999 she moved back to the USA where she worked for
Priceline.com, recruiting and training the UK hotel operations and sales
team. Following her return to the UK Raccine managed the 2002 annual
conference and exhibition for Ramada International Hotels in Shanghai China.
Prior to her appointment at Accor Racine was Business Development Manager at
Pro-ven the corporate venue and accommodations solutions provider where she
developed sales and marketing strategies and increased the company’s online
presence. 

Raccine says; ‘With many years hospitality experience, I am delighted to be
working with a group I have long respected as leaders in the hospitality
industry. I have already had the opportunity to visit many of the London and
Paris hotels within the group and look forward to my role in generating
business from the UK MICE market.’

Also Jenny A Barrett is set to become a Senior Key Account Manager, Global & National sales team.

 

Jenny has 20 years sales experience in the hospitality industry and will be
responsible for the account management within the corporate segment for
Sofitel, Novotel and Mercure brands.

Jenny began her career as a Regional Sales Manager for Crest Hotels where
she developed and drove corporate, conference, training, business travel and
leisure business into a European and UK network of over 60 hotels. She then
moved onto Radisson Edwardian Hotels in 1989 where she took on the role of
National Accounts Manager where she stayed for 4 years before her most
recent job at Intercontinental Hotels as an Account Director. Here she
gained responsibility in the corporate, conference, business travel and
airline market segments helping to achieve revenue growth and drive business
development.
