BA strike is on
The Transport & General Workers Union has cancelled a planned stoppage by British Airways cabin crew on Monday 29th January but strikes are still scheduled to take place on Tuesday 30th January and Wednesday 31st.
Further 72-hour strikes are planned beginning on Monday 5 February and Monday 12 February .
British Airways has issued a statement:
“We would like to assure you that the airline remains committed to the pursuit of a negotiated settlement.
“If the T&G does not call off the rest of its strikes for next week the airline plans to announce today (25 January 2007) details of its flight schedule for the first period of action.
“In the meantime all British Airways flights continue to operate.
