The Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) has launched a unique facility for hoteliers, agents and corporate clients who are involved in the hospitality and event sector.
Extensive research by one of the leading and most progressive associations, The HBAA, highlighted the need for a greater reach of product offering. And whilst the HBAA leads the field in setting the benchmark for hotel booking agents, it was felt that the core proposition of the Association should not be altered, but enhanced.
By pulling together all of the key ancillary suppliers to the hotel booking agents, hoteliers and venues, the HBAA has created a Supplier Directory of un-paralleled quality, integrity and ease of use. As each supplier must by nominated and ratified by a member of the HBAA, the Suppliers Directory reinforces the quality offering of the Association.
With over 100 companies already geared to sign up in its inaugural week, the Supplier Directory is set to help enhance standards in the accommodation, conference and events market.
Jacqui Kavanagh, Head of the HBAA’s Marketing Committee said: “For some years we have referred our suppliers to each other, however, the time has now come to formalise this process. The Suppliers Directory is highly effective way for suppliers to hit the HBAA’s £800m spend! Our spend tracking currently only takes into consideration the cost of the venues, but the incremental revenue available is quite significant and clearly a great opportunity for quality ancillary suppliers to benefit”.
