Grace Bay Club continues its renaissance by winning another prestigious award, this time given by some of the most influential travel agents in the luxury travel industry, Island Destinations. Hot on the heels of its recognition as the #4 resort in the Atlantic Resorts category of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2006 Readers’ Choice Awards, the “Best in Location” on the magazine’s “Gold List”, and its repeat selection to Travel + Leisure’s T+L 500, Grace Bay Club has been awarded the top prize by Island Destinations travel agents’ as “Resort of the Year.”
The five-star, all-suite boutique resort was chosen above 75 other hotels and resorts in Island Destination’s Travelers’ Collection. Member hotels all meet the highest standards in service, accommodations, luxury, and location, and are found on islands throughout the world as well as in other top locales. This selection was echoed by Luxury Link’s naming of the property to its new 50-member"World’s Best Hotels” list. Luxury Link is an online resource for top worldwide travel.
Previous Islands Destinations “Resort of the Year” winners include Sandy Lane, One& Only Palmilla and Four Seasons Resort, Costa Rica. Managing Director Nikheel Advani commented, “We’ve had a very exciting year with the addition of the family-friendly Villas, our new spa, our new restaurant, and our expanded beach. We’re honored that the travel agent community and our guests have recognized the transformation that the resort has undertaken. We put a strong emphasis on service and quality, and I want to acknowledge and thank my wonderful staff for this tremendous honor. Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Island Destinations, and Luxury Link represent the “best of the best” in my mind, and we’re thrilled to be acknowledged by all of them, especially so soon after our transformation.”
