HyperTech in new venture

HyperTech Solutions is launching a new venture that aims to build a ‘substantial presence’ in the UK travel trade marketplace. Its new London-based company, HyperTech Solutions UK Ltd (www.hypertechsolutions.com), is led by industry veteran Tim Wright who recently celebrated 40 years in the industry.

HyperTech, which powered the very first US travel business to offer dynamic packaging in 2000, provides highly developed applications for automating complex travel reservations, and which feature advanced dynamic packaging functionality for travel agents, tour operators, online portals and other travel suppliers.

It technology was chosen last year by one of the big GDSs as its preferred worldwide dynamic packaging solution for agency subscribers, and in November, HyperTech won the World Travel Market 2006 / travelmole technology award for best dynamic packaging tools for agents.

Wright commented: “In my many years in and around travel technology. I can truly say HyperTech has been a well-kept secret - but now I am letting the cat out of the bag! Those who know HyperTech know just how its technology can make a real business difference. Today, UK travel companies can choose HyperTech as a local partner that truly understands travel, the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, and the role of leading edge technology. And most importantly, we ensure our technology delivers.”

While HyperTech’s solutions are affordable for smaller travel agencies, Wright says they comfortably meet the more complicated requirements of large agencies and tour operators.  “We harness leading edge, open standard technologies into robust solutions that are implemented on time and on budget. They are particularly effective for more demanding requirements, and the tougher the job, the better we respond. So challenge us with your complex technology needs because we’ll have a solution that works for you.”

A Wright-commissioned independent consultant’s report described HyperTech’s solutions as excellent for their tour handling and multi-inventory capabilities, distribution, channel and dynamic pricing, on and offline work flow, mark up handling, and hotel contracting and pricing. Net fares capabilities were ‘comprehensive’, and GDS interfaces ‘very good’, as were HyperTech’s online solutions.
