CTO heads for Chicago expo

The Caribbean Tourism Organization will celebrate
Caribbean culture at the Adventures in Travel Expo in Chicago this month at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.Throughout the weekend expo, travel agents and officials representing
Caribbean governments and tourists boards will be on hand to discuss the
colorful and exotic destinations that comprise the Caribbean.
Exhibitors, as part of a Caribbean Village, include: Bermuda, the
British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Curacao, the
Islands of the Bahamas, the United States Virgin Islands, Caradonna Dive
Adventures, Elite Island Yachts, Liberty Travel, and Maho Bay Camps.
Special deals will be offered by travel agents and available to those consumers
looking to book a trip to the Caribbean.  Entertainment will be provided by
Ainsworth Rose (the Jamaica One Man Band) Steel Pan Player, with a sampling of
Caribbean cuisine by Caribbean Chef James Murphy, a native of Antigua and Barbuda.
Known for his extensive work with the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Tourism, and
14 years in the food industry he will showcase his specialty—food carving and
sculpting.
        “We’re extremely excited to be participating in this popular travel show
that will allow us to present the Caribbean’s rich style and flavor to a
consumer audience in one of our region’s main markets,” said Hugh Riley,
CTO’s director of marketing for the Americas.
