Carsten Spohr (40), previously Executive Vice President Services and Human Resources
on the Board of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, is taking up his new post as CEO and
Chairman of Lufthansa Cargo AGHe succeeds Jean-Peter Jansen,
who stepped down for health reasons in March 2006. The interim Chairman, Stefan
Lauer, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, is to
re-assume his post as Supervisory Board Chairman of Lufthansa Cargo AG.

Tomorrow as well, Karl Ulrich Garnadt (49) will take over from Carsten Spohr on the
Management Board of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. Karl Ulrich Garnadt was, from
2004, Group Representative and Head of Hub Management Munich. His successor in
Munich is Thomas Klühr (44), who was formerly head of Controlling at Lufthansa
Passenger Airlines.
