Delta Hotels moves into Markham

Delta Hotels has a new long-term licence agreement with London,
England-based Nor-Sham Markham that will see the Delta brand arrive in one of
Canada’s fastest-growing communities.“We are excited about this strategic addition to our network of hotels in the
Greater Toronto Area”, says Hank Stackhouse, company president. “We’re pleased to
offer our guests and clients another desirable and convenient location in which to
conduct their business.” More than 400 companies are headquartered in Markham.

“This new partnership with one of the Canadian hotel industry’s most respected
brands is a very exciting step forward for us,” says Farhana Charania, board member
of Nor-Sham Markham. “We’re excited by the strength that the Delta brand delivers,
and we’re excited about the long term for the hotel as a Delta.”

Located 25 minutes from Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Toronto’s
downtown core, this 204-room property is slated for renovations amounting to more
than $2.5 million. These include improvements to the entrance, lobby, and Tivoli
Garden and Restaurant, landscaping and the creation of a full-service business
centre.

The hotel’s amenities include a fitness facility with a multi-station gym, indoor
heated pool, whirlpool and sauna, the 100-seat restaurant as well as newly renovated
meeting facilities and pre-function space-all wireless-that include five boardrooms,
ranging from 450 to 625 square feet, two hospitality suites and two
3,000-square-foot ballrooms, both soundproofed and divisible.

The hotel will also offer Delta’s signature guest recognition program, Delta
Privilege. Membership in this tiered program offers many popular benefits, including

check-in takes longer than one minute, a dining or room credit, a dedicated 24-hour
