Horizon widens west coast offering

Horizon Air will launch a new nonstop jet service between Spokane and Sacramento this year, and add nonstop jet service between Spokane and Los Angeles International AirportHorizon will offer one daily flight to and from Sacramento, a market not currently served nonstop from Spokane. Horizon’s daily flight to and from LAX will complement the once-daily nonstop service from Spokane by the airline’s sister carrier, Alaska Airlines. Both of Horizon’s new flights will be operated with 70-seat CRJ-700 jets.

“Our new nonstop jet service will strengthen the growing business and leisure ties between Spokane and Sacramento, both vital metropolitan areas,” said Patrick Zachwieja, Horizon vice president of marketing and planning. “And Horizon’s new jet flight between Spokane and LAX, in combination with Alaska Airlines’ current service, will make same-day business trips a whole lot easier.”

The flight time from Spokane will be two hours and 10 minutes to Sacramento and two hours and 40 minutes to Los Angeles.
