The Aeroflot - Russian Airlines has installed the first six self service check-in desks at terminals 1 and 2 of the Sheremetyevo airport.

Initially, only Aeroflot passengers with carry-on luggage that has gone through security check will be able to use the desks. From 2007, every Aeroflot passenger, including those under the SkyTeam alliance, will be able to check in at the self service desks. The service will be broadly available at the new Sheremetyevo-3 terminal. Aeroflot plans to install more self service check-in desks. In addition, early next year movable check-in desks connected with the Sabre system are to be used by Aeroflot at Russian airports to enable through check-ins. Automated airport services are to raise the quality of passenger services.
