Press: Government may resolve Air Asia dispute

28th Dec 2006

The Malaysia government may intervene in a dispute between budget airline AirAsia and airport operator Malaysia Airports Holdings over airport charges, the New Straits Times reported. The report said AirAsia wants lower airport facility charges and security charges for the low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT) at the KL International Airport.

But MAHB believes that airlines and air passengers should be charged the same rate, regardless of the terminal they use, according to the report.
