easyJet anticipates busy Christmas

22nd Dec 2006

Over 1.1 million passengers will fly with easyJet over the Christmas and
New Year break and despite the difficulties that some airlines have
suffered at London airports in the last two days easyJet has been
largely unaffected by weather problems.Yesterday easyJet operated over all but a handful of its scheduled
flights and expects to operate at a similar or even better level over
the coming days, so its passengers should be looking forward to spending
this weekend with family and friends, not airport staff.

Over the period from Friday 22nd December to Tuesday 2nd January a
record 1.1 million people will fly with the airline across its entire
European network - 540,000 passengers will travel with easyJet from
London, 115,000 from Northern Ireland, 60,000 from Newcastle and 150,000
on routes to and from Scotland.

easyJet is urging its passengers to allow plenty of time for their
journeys to the airport and to expect longer queues than normal to pass
through security searches.  easyJet would like to remind passengers that
extra security measures are still in place, therefore Christmas crackers
are only permitted in hold baggage provided that they packed loose and
Christmas presents should not be wrapped.  For further information on
what is permitted onboard passengers should check www.easyJet.com
