Press: Sabre deal has $135mn breakup cost
Sabre Holdings Corp. said Monday that its plan to be acquired by two private equity companies for $32.75 a share in cash carries a $135 million breakup fee.
According to reports, Sabre may have to pay the breakup fee if it cancels its going-private deal with Silver Lake Partners and Texas Pacific Group. This was stated on an acquisition document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The deal was announced on December 12th.
