Silverjet has signed two partnerships to distribute fares through Sabre and Galileo with immediate effect.
A signed agreement between Silverjet and Sabre Travel Network provides Silverjet’s key distribution customers, in both the UK and USA, access to full flight availability from the inaugural flights and beyond.
An agreement between Silverjet and Galileo has resulted in all of Silverjet’s fares now being available worldwide to Galileo connected travel agencies, enabling passengers to book tickets on the inaugural flights and beyond.
Silverjet tickets are now on sale for an average fare of £999 return between London Luton (LTN) and New York Newark (EWR).
Silverjet, the world’s first airline to become carbon neutral, will commence operations on 25 January 2007 when customers will be able to enjoy a 30 minute check in at Silverjet’s private air terminal and their award winning flat bed.
Russell Fraser, Commercial Director of Silverjet said: “Sabre is an essential part of our distribution strategy both in the UK and USA to provide our key travel trade sales partners full flight availability to the Silverjet product.”
He added: “Galileo is an essential part of our distribution strategy in the UK to provide our key travel trade sales partners full flight availability to the Silverjet product.”
In addition to booking travel with Silverjet through a Sabre Connected travel agent, customers can now book on-line and manage their entire travel itinerary at www.flysilverjet.com
Matthew Hall, Vice President Supplier Services EMEA, Galileo said:
“We are pleased that Silverjet has selected to work with Galileo.
“Our agency customers require all content in place and airline partners - traditional and those with new business models like Silverjet - continue to recognise that Galileo is the most effective way to reach travel agents and ultimately travellers.”
