Hilton opens 300th Garden Inn in Rome

Hilton Garden Inn has opened its 300th milestone location, the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport—representing a new European addition to the brand’s growing portfolio of hotels. “We are proud to open our 300th Hilton Garden Inn location which shows how fast our brand has grown since it launched 10 years ago,” said Adrian Kurre, senior vice president - brand management, Hilton Garden Inn.

From August through October of 2006, Hilton Garden Inn has opened a record-breaking 11 new hotels, including two locations in Europe and nine in North America, that include: Victorville, Calif., Rockford, Ill., San Antonio Airport, TX, Joplin, MO, Salt Lake City, Utah, Newburgh/Stewart Airport, NY, Worcester, MA, Charlottesville, Va., and Columbia/Harbison, SC - representing 1,475 new rooms.

The Rome Airport hotel opens as the second Hilton Garden Inn property to debut in Italy. The 121-room Hilton Garden Inn Florence Novoli opened on October 21 following the launch of the brand in Europe with the opening of the 150-room Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart NeckarPark in Germany which opened on September 19.

The Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport offers quick and complimentary connections to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and with the sights and sounds of Rome just a short distance away, the hotel offers guests a shuttle bus service to the Rome city center. The hotel is located at the front of the recently opened Rome Cargo City and situated near one of the largest shopping malls in Europe.

Designed to help business travelers stay productive on the road while providing a restful getaway for leisure guests, the hotel offers 282 guestrooms, including six family rooms which can accommodate up to four people, and is outfitted with key Hilton Garden Inn brand attributes like complimentary wireless high speed Internet access, the Garden Sleep System(TM) bed, ergonomic Mirra(R) chair by Herman Miller, a spacious work desk, air conditioning, mini refrigerator and LCD satellite television.

Travelers to the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport will enjoy the 323 square foot (30 square-meter) boardroom and 1,292 square feet (120 square-meters) of flexible meeting space that offers a parquet floor and natural lighting; a complimentary workout facility; and on-site hotel parking.

The new property features complimentary WiFi in public areas; a 130-seat a la carte buffet restaurant buffet offering Italian and International cuisine during breakfast, lunch and dinner; a private dining corner for up to 20 guests, evening room service; the Pavilion Lounge in the lobby area with a library and fireplace; a lounge area and bar (for guests of legal drinking age) with plasma screen television; a Pavilion Pantry(R) offering snacks, beverages, microwaveable items as well as various sundries; and a microwave guests’ use.

Members of the Hilton HHonors(R) guest reward program can earn Points & Miles(R) for every qualifying stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport. HHonors is the only hotel program that allows any of its members to Double Dip(R) by simultaneously accumulating both hotel points and airline miles with each qualifying stay.
