Three of the initial four bidders for Hungarian state-owned air carrier Malev Zrt. will be invited for the second round of the airline’s privatization tender, business daily Napi Gazdasag says, quoting unnamed sources close to the deal. AirBridge Magyarorszag Zrt., Lithuanian LAL consortium and businessman Ofer Hava remain in the race. The bid submitted by Sky Alliance Zrt., a company founded by Malev pilots, was disqualified, the report said.
AirBridge Magyarorszag Zrt. bid on behalf of OAO KrasAir; LAL investiciju valdymas is the owner of Lithuanian Airlines flyLAL.
The final result of the tender is expected in February.
