Bahamas teams up with Miami Dolphins

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and the Miami Dolphins American football squad are teaming a series of events sponsored Events include hosting the “Dol-Fan Fest” on Grand Bahama Island. The anticipated event brings fans and select Miami Dolphins football players, cheerleaders and alumni together for the ultimate off-shore tailgate party. It also features a sports clinic open to Bahamian children and visiting Miami Dolphins fans.

As the preferred destination of the Miami Dolphins, The Bahamas’ images and messaging will appear on the Jumbo Tron at Dolphin Stadium during games, on Internet banners and in GameDay, the official magazine of the Miami Dolphins. The Bahamas will also host the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders for their annual calendar shoot and for Bimini Bash, a fishing tournament held just 50 miles off the coast of Florida, on the island of Bimini.

“The Bahamas’ close proximity to Florida has made it the ‘go-to’ destination for South Florida residents for many years. We consider Floridians our neighbors and look at this partnership as a cultural exchange program of sorts. We bring the beauty of The Bahamas to Dolphin Stadium and the players bring their enthusiasm and athletic expertise to The Bahamas,” said Vernice Walkine, director-general of tourism for the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.
