Larry Magor has been named managing director for Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa, voted “Best Spa Resort in the USVI” by the World Travel Awards in London for the past two consecutive years. His responsibilities include leading the operation of the 300 newly renovated guest rooms, 17,680 sq. ft. of meeting space, and U.S sales team for the ocean side St. Thomas resort.
A 30-year veteran to the hospitality industry and three year veteran to Wyndham, Magor has been involved in several other properties in the U.S as well as the Caribbean. Most recently, he was managing director at the Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa and served as the general manager of Wyndham Northwest Chicago Resort & Spa.
“We are very excited to have Larry join the Wyndham Sugar Bay team,” says D.C. Becker, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. “With his positive attitude combined with years of industry and Wyndham experience, including a Caribbean based resort, he will be a huge asset.”
Carved into a mountainside of 31 lush, tropical acres, the newly renovated 300 guest rooms and suites at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa reveal stunning views of infinite emerald landscapes from an ocean side cliff overlooking the glittering turquoise waters of Smith Bay. From an award-winning spa to the “Grotto Grove” Kids Klub, the resort provides the ultimate Caribbean vacation.
As part of a U.S. territory, the U.S. Virgin Islands is exempt from the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative effective Jan. 23, 2007, which requires a passport for travel to all Caribbean islands, Canada and Mexico. Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa continues to be a hassle free Caribbean vacation option for travelers who do not have months to plan and money to spare on expensive passports.
