Austrian opens up Serbian network

With its new service to Ni? in Serbia, the Austrian Airlines Group will open up another region in Central Europe on 8 December 2006 and continues with the expansion of its route network. Within the scope of an existing code share agreement with JAT Airways, Vienna - Ni? - Vienna will be operated on Monday and Friday. The flights are timed to provide perfect connections with the global route network of the Austrian Airlines Group through its Vienna hub. After the capital city Belgrade, which is already connected with Vienna by three daily flights operated by Austrian and JAT Airways, the new connection represents the fastest route to the second-largest city in Serbia.

Ni? is located in central Serbia, approximately 250 kilometers south-east from Belgrade, and is also of the administrative center of the Ni?ava District. Situated at the crossroads of Central Europe, Turkey and Greece, the city is also an industrial and trade center.
