VLM boosts UK sales team

VLM Airlines has underlined its commitment to the travel trade with three new appointments and two promotions within its UK sales team.

This move increases the carrier’s sales force to a team of seven, responsible for enhancing and developing relationships with industry partners and corporate clients.

Carol Baker, VLM Airlines’ recently-appointed UK Regional Manager, says: “VLM Airlines continues to increase the choice of services and we now offer over 100 flights each weekday from our hub at London City Airport. Increasing our sales team is an integral part of this ongoing expansion, as we seek to strengthen our relationships with the travel trade and our key corporate clients.”

Paul Fallows has been promoted to UK Sales Manager, having previously been Sales Account Manager for Southern England for two years. He succeeds Carol Baker.

Bolstering its sales strength in Southern England, Fallows is replaced by two newly-appointed Sales Account Managers. Ian Smith joins VLM Airlines from Carlson Wagonlit Travel, whilst Jonathan Cooper has been recruited from BWIA.

Reflecting its growing presence at Manchester and its services to the Isle of Man and Liverpool, the airline retains a two-strong team of Sales Account Managers for Northern England - Kath Townley and Paul Fletcher.

In addition to strengthening its trade-facing team, VLM Airlines has also appointed Selena Gold as UK Key Account Manager. Gold joins the airline from Maritz, and will play a key role in enhancing relationships with key corporate clients.
