Hertz boosts coportate services online

Hertz has become the first car rental company in Europe to offer corporate customer’s secure online access to management and summary reports of their rental usage, through a system developed internally called HertzDataLink (HDL).

The free service enables companies who have a contract with Hertz, to view their management reports online, giving them instant access to figures such as the number of transactions, revenue, average length of rentals and revenue per day.

The system is designed to offer flexibility, enabling users to cross-reference and extract their data in many combinations.  Users are offered two viewing options; by month or year- to-date, and can compare the tracked period versus the same period for the previous year, and the percentage variance.  The system also offers the option to download information in Excel or PDF format.

Fabrice Quinquenel, Sales Director Europe, says: “HertzDataLink enables corporate customers to access information about their account at their own convenience.  The system is password secured to ensure the security of confidential information.  HDL improves the service for our corporate customers by giving them a quick and customer friendly access to their activity.

“In 1996, Hertz was the first car rental company to introduce online booking and we are working with some of the world’s biggest technology providers to develop innovative online solutions to improve customer service.  HDL, which was first launched in the USA in 2003, is one example of the way in which Hertz is striving to improve the service offered to our corporate customers.”
