Qantas expands for lunar new year

Qantas Airways will provide an additional six services from Hong Kong to Australia between 14 and 23 Februardemand during the busy tourist period of Lunar New Year. Qantas General Manager Greater China Freddy Li said the services would be popular with residents from Greater China who liked to travel internationally over the public holiday period. “Qantas will operate five flights to Cairns, the gateway to Tropical North Queensland.  An additional flight will operate to Melbourne,” he said. “In the return direction, two flights will operate from Sydney to Hong Kong, and one from Cairns to Hong Kong, which are popular routes for Hong Kong visitors,” he said. Qantas operates 28 flights each week between Hong Kong and Australia utilising the airline’s fleet of Boeing 747, 767 and Airbus A330 aircraft.
