Omega renews Worldspan agreement

Omega Travel has renewed its agreement with Worldspan. The agreement extends a successful 10-year travel distribution and technology partnership for five more years, and broadens the services Worldspan will provide Omega Travel Ltd’s growing travel management organisation.

As part of the new agreement, Worldspan will serve as the preferred global distribution system (GDS) provider for The Far East Travel Centre, a thriving travel company recently acquired by Omega Travel Ltd, with offices in London and Manchester. The Worldspan GDS will also continue to serve Omega Travel Ltd’s complete operations in Milton Keynes, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, as well as in Paris, Beijing and Shanghai.

“Worldspan has been a trusted GDS partner for Omega Travel Ltd for a decade, and the relationship and support from our Worldspan team is very important to us,” said Dr. Mingaling Chen, managing director, Omega Travel Ltd. “Through this new agreement, we will take greater advantage of Worldspan technologies, which we believe are the best in the industry and best suited for our growth initiatives.”

“Omega Travel Ltd has grown considerably through a winning strategy of providing some of the UK’s finest travel services for China-bound travellers. Worldspan is proud to offer the leading solutions and rich travel content they need to retain and grow their market leadership,” said Brian Staunton, Worldspan regional manager - UK and Ireland.

Established in 1996, Omega Travel Ltd is a forward-thinking travel company that offers a comprehensive range of travel services, including retail, business house, tourism, consolidation and wholesale. New products and services are continually developed to support Omega Travel Ltd’s specialty services and ongoing expansion.
