Spirit expands Fort Lauderdale hub

Spirit Airlines has announced new non-stop service from its Fort Lauderdale hub to Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach beginning February 2007 and Los Angeles beginning March 2007.Spirit’s new non-stop offerings will allow convenient same plane service from Boston to Fort Lauderdale as well as connect the West Coast, Myrtle Beach and Boston to the Caribbean.

Spirit will serve these new flights with the youngest all Airbus fleet in the Americas, valued at over one billion dollars.

“With over 20 non-stop destinations from our Fort Lauderdale hub, South Florida has never had so many low fare options,” said Barry Biffle, Chief Marketing Officer of Spirit Airlines. “Whether you’re after a great leisure spot or on business, you’re sure to enjoy Spirit’s low fares and fantastic service.”
