Hammons Hotels & Resorts has announced
that two of its Holiday Inn properties received performance awards from
InterContinental Hotels Group at the recent Americas Investors & Leadership
Conference in Toronto. Recognized were:
á    Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield in Missouri - Newcomer Award
á    Holiday Inn University Plaza in
Bowling Green, Ky.- Quality Excellence Award
Both properties are managed by Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons
Hotels & Resorts, LLC.

Additionally, hotel visionary Mr. John Q. Hammons received the Kemmons
Wilson Service Award from IAHI, the IHG Owner’s Association.  Mr. Hammons
was recognized for his service to his community and embodying the
standards and beliefs set forward by Mr. Kemmons Wilson, the hospitality
industry pioneer who created the Holiday Inn brand in 1952 and launched
the IAH to represent the brand’s franchisees in 1955.
