Carlson Hotels Worldwide has
announced that the company added five new locations to its global
portfolio of brands in September.These include one Radisson Hotels &
Resorts hotel California; three Country Inns & Suites By Carlson
hotels in the U.S.; and one Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts hotel in India.
These additions bring Carlson’s global portfolio to 943 hotels with 146,680
rooms in 70 countries. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent
International Hotels and Park Inn.
  “We’re delighted with the development progress our brands have made
this year,” said Bill Sipple, corporate vice president of development, full
service hotels, Carlson Hotels Worldwide. “In all, we’ve added 70 hotels
since January 1, and intend to take advantage of the continued favorable
market and growth opportunities in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and the EMEA
region. For the remainder of the year, we’ll stay the course, focused on
having the right properties in the right places and targeting emerging
countries and growing urban and suburban markets to find future growth
opportunities.”
