Etihad Airways will be showcasing its impressive growth and product development at the World Travel Market (WTM) being held in London this week. Open between 6 and 9 November, the Abu Dhabi-based airline will use the WTM as another opportunity to tell the world’s travel trade and media all about the exciting developments taking place within Etihad.
The Etihad delegation attending the WTM includes Geert W Boven, vice president commercial and Kirk Albrow, regional general manager for Europe and the Americas.

Illustrating this unprecedented growth, since last year’s WTM Etihad, Etihad has launched services to 17 international destinations and taken delivery of 14 purpose-built brand-new aircraft.
These state-of-the-art Airbus and Boeing aircraft include five Boeing 777-300ERs (two zones), five Airbus A330-200s (two zones) and three A340-500’s (three zones).
Etihad, alongside Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, will also use WTM as an opportunity to raise the profile of Abu Dhabi both as a destination in its own right and as a gateway to the Middle East and beyond.
The airline now serves 35 Guest destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, having just launched a new daily service to America’s commercial capital New York.
The Etihad stand at the WTM will celebrate the airline’s commitment to Guest services and innovation which includes Etihad’s revolutionary Diamond zone seat that was unveiled earlier this year.
The seat sets new industry benchmarks because it can rotate 180 degrees, enabling Guests for the first time to turn around and face one another, ideal for dining and socialising.
In addition to the Diamond zone seat, Etihad also offers its Pearl zone Guests the award winning business bed which reclines from a luxurious seat into a fully flat 6 feet 1 inch bed.
The Pearl zone seat is equipped with a 15inch personal LCD video screen and has a built-in massage facility, perfect for medium and long haul flights.
