Tourico Holidays joins HBSI network

3rd Nov 2006

Tourico Holidays has joined the Hotel Booking Solutions Incorporated (HBSI) Demand Partner NetworkTM to access real-time rates and room inventory from leading hotel companies.

HBSI, credited with bringing Demand ManagementTM to the global travel industry, provides technologies and services to enhance the flow of commerce between hotels and their distribution partners enabling both to realize their full revenue potential.

The integration of Tourico’s with HBSI means travel planners can seamlessly search and book available hotel rooms within the HBSI Supply Partner NetworkTM of leading hotel companies such as Fairmont, Harrah’s, Hyatt, InterContinental Hotels Group, Intrawest, Sandals and Wyndham Worldwide. “The relationship with HBSI provides Tourico exposure to more inventory as well as a more efficient and easier way to book,” said Asi Ginio, Tourico Vice President of Product.

“By connecting through HBSI to Tourico, hotels can reduce costs associated with booking through manual, error-prone processes such as fax and telephone calls, and gives their sales teams more time to work with customers needing their assistance.” “We’re delighted to add Tourico Holidays to our network,” said Darin McAuliffe, HBSI Senior Vice President, Demand Partners. “Since our services connect and benefit both the supply and demand side of the travel industry, bringing aboard a quality name like Tourico entices more hotels to join our growing Supply Partner Network.”

HBSI’s Demand Partner Network now includes nearly 50 leading distribution channels with a number in negotiations to join. “We anticipate our DPN will include more than 120 channels by the end of the year,” said McAuliffe.
