Iberia spreads European auto check-in

Iberia’s auto check-in service has been extended at
airports in Athens, Brussels, Copenhagen, Munich, Rome and Venice, as well
as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and ParisThe service
is also available for Iberia passengers at 15 Spanish airports and two
hotels -the Ercilla in Bilbao and the Wellington in Madrid.
Using the auto check-in machines Iberia customers can select their seats and
obtain their boarding cards, sparing them the long queues at check-in
counters during peak times. In most cases, passengers can use the machines
to obtain boarding cards for their return flights well, if they are on the
same day or the following one.
In 2006 to date, 18% of Iberia passengers have used either the auto check-in
machines at airport or the www.iberia.com online
check-in service, with which the customer can print the boarding card at
work or at home. Each day nearly 11,000 Iberia passengers use this online
check-in service.
The auto check-in services can be used for flight to destinations not
requiring passport verifications or other security or immigration
requirements.
