Industry veteran quits Vacation.com
Martin Braunstein, a 43-year travel industry veteran and senior vice president of Industry Relations at Vacation.com for the past seven years, is leaving to explore new challenges in the travel industry having transitioned his responsibilities to a new supplier relations team at Vacation.com.
“Marty Braunstein has provided Vacation.com with devotion and expertise that has helped build the organization since its inception,” said Steve Tracas, president and CEO of Vacation.com. “He has further assisted us by transitioning the crucial supplier relations operation to a new management team.”
Prior to his position with Vacation.com, Braunstein was chairman and chief executive officer of SPACE, Travel Agents Marketing Consortium. In 1999, SPACE was purchased by Travel Associates Network (TAN) which subsequently became Vacation.com. Braunstein entered the travel industry in 1963 opening Regency Travel Service and was one of the founders of SPACE and Leisure Time in 1969.
