Europcar has been voted eight times “The Best” by the worldwide travel industry at the World Travel Awards 2006. At the 13th Annual World Travel Awards
ceremony, Europcar had the honour of receiving one of the world’s most prestigious tourism awards in all of the following categories.

Australasia’s Leading Car Hire
Caribbean’s Leading Car Hire
Central & Latin America’s Leading Car Hire

This year’s voting campaign reached a total of 167,000 travel professionals worldwide, including 110,000 travel agents.
Europcar has won the title of “Europe’s Leading Car Hire Company” four years in a row and the title of “World’s Leading Leisure Car Rental company” for the last three years, thus conveying a consistent message of high service quality to the customer. “Winning the World Travel Award in eight categories is the best impartial proof of the effective implementation of our Global Service Strategy”, commented Salvatore Catania, CEO of Europcar International.
This year’s World Travel Awards ceremony took place in the Turks & Caicos where representatives from the Europcar Franchise network accepted the awards cast and hand-finished in bronze by the distinguished fine jewellers, Jarvis of St. James.
