Luxury river and ocean cruise specialist, Peter Deilmann Cruises, has expanded its London-based team, introduced a new CRM system and added more sq ft to its central London offices.
The new and improved London team is headed up by the new Managing Director, Mark Lewsey, who joined the company in April 2006 with a wealth of experience of the travel industry including Amadeus, Sun Cruises and Silversea Cruises.
The extended office space will be used to accommodate Patrick Arni, Kam Yeoman and Tereza Hlavackova, who join the Peter Deilmann Cruises team in the Reservations Department and will report to Reservations Supervisor Emma Bray. Neil Gowans has joined the Finance Department and reports to Financial Controller Alan Wilder. These appointments are in response to the increasingly strong sales seen by the company and the ambitious UK and Ireland growth plans.
To further aid Peter Deilmann Cruises’ growth objectives in the UK and Irish market, the company has invested in a new CRM and telephone system which will see the booking process streamlined for travel agents, making it faster and simpler to book a river or ocean cruise than ever before.
This move by the privately owned, German-based cruise line, demonstrates Peter Deilmann Cruises’ commitment to the UK and Irish market. Managing Director, Mark Lewsey comments, “This is an extremely exciting time for Peter Deilmann Cruises in both the river and ocean cruising markets. The extension of our London team, expansion of the office space and installation of new CRM and telephone systems have solidified our position as the leading luxury river and ocean cruise operator in the UK & Ireland and has set the groundwork in place to meet our growth targets.
As a new, young, dynamic team with an exemplary product in the fastest growing sector of the industry, I am confident that 2007 will be our most successful year yet.”
Lewsey continues, “Since I started in April, we have been working hard to get the “Deilmann house” in order, making sure we have the right team in place. We have been investing in the right technology, working closely with our German and American offices and ensuring we have all the building blocks in place to ensure that our ultra luxury river and ocean cruising really takes its rightful position on the growing UK & Ireland cruise scene. We are looking for more trade partners and I would be delighted to discuss business opportunities accordingly.”
