Regent Seven Seas Cruises are celebrating
after winning the coveted ‘Best Large-Ship Cruise Line’ in the 2006
Condé Nast Traveler 19th annual Readers’ Choice Awards Poll, beating
Crystal who have previously held the title for eleven years.More than 21,000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler, one of the World’s
leading luxury travel publications, voted for Regent in this category
representing ships which cater for over 500 guests onboard.  The Condé
Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, one of the highest accolades in
the travel industry, celebrate the best of the best in hotels, airlines,
resorts, cruise lines, cities and islands.  Readers voted on a series
of service elements including activities, facilities, cabins,
crew/service, design,/layout, food/dining and itineraries.  The award
was accepted by Mark Conroy, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises,
with the ceremony to be televised on the Travel Channel later this month
(Oct 25). 

Regent’s fleet of ultra luxury ships feature some of the highest space
per guest and crew per guest ratios at sea, calling on 300 ports
worldwide across all seven continents.  This latest accolade is yet
another success for Regent - having recently won the “World’s Leading
Luxury Cruise Line” award 2006 at the 13th Annual World Travel Awards
held in Turks & Caicos last month.
