Worldspan inks five year JetBlue deal

Worldspan has announced that JetBlue Airways has signed a new five-year full content distribution
agreement.Through the agreement, all of the carrier’s published fares
and inventory, including published fares JetBlue offers through other
distributors, its reservation offices and at jetblue.com, will be
available Friday, October 20, through multiple booking channels served
by the Worldspan global distribution system (GDS).
  JetBlue’s participation in the Worldspan GDS enables shopping,
pricing and bookings by Worldspan’s travel agencies and corporate
customers, including business travelers who book trips online using
Worldspan Trip Manager XE(R), as well as travel buyers who purchase
opaque flights or travel packages at designated Worldspan-connected
travel Web sites.
  “Worldspan offers a broad and valuable network for delivering
JetBlue inventory directly to the travel buyer’s desktop. Worldspan
links us to those customers we are not reaching through other channels,
and ensures our customers have a state-of-the-art travel buying
experience,” said Noreen Courtney-Wilds, director of Sales for JetBlue
Airways.
  “Our distribution partnership with JetBlue provides Worldspan
subscribers with long-term access to the full content of one of the
United States’ premier low-cost carriers,” said Kevin Ficco, Worldspan
vice president - Airline Distribution and Business Development. “We
welcome JetBlue as our newest participating airline.”
