Travelzoo makes Forbes top ten

Travelzoo has been named to the 2006 Forbes list of
200 Best Small Companies. Travelzoo was ranked as the sixth overall best
growth company for 2006. Travelzoo has now been included within the top 10
companies on the Forbes list for two consecutive years.
The Forbes 200 Best Small Companies list honors the most robust,
fundamentally disciplined public companies that have performed
exceptionally well over the past five years. A “small company” by Forbes’
standards must have revenues between $5 million and $750 million and a
share price of above $5 as of September 29, 2006. In addition, companies
must have a respectable return on equity and 12-month and 5-year growth
figures for sales and net profits.
“We are very pleased to be once again acknowledged by Forbes for
superior business performance,” said Ralph Bartel, chairman and chief
executive officer, Travelzoo. “Over the past five years we have achieved
annual growth of 53% in sales and annual growth of 88% in earnings per
share and we have maintained 32 consecutive quarters of revenue growth
since the inception of the company in 1998. We are very happy to be
recognized for this achievement.”
