Jemmott takes charge at Divi Southwinds

Divi Resorts has announced that Mr. Alvin Jemmott has been named General Manager of the Divi
Southwinds
Beach Resort in Barbados effective November 1, 2006.Mr. Jemmott, a Barbadian, will focus on
enhancing Divi Southwinds’ total guest experience and further developing
the Resort’s
distinctive amenities and activities.

Barbados’ first
Certified Meeting Planner and a twenty-four year veteran of the Barbados
hospitality industry, Mr. Jemmott brings extensive food, beverage and
convention services expertise to Divi Southwinds which will enhance the food
and beverage outlets, including the beachside Jocelyn’s Café and poolside
Bajan
Breeze Restaurant.  Most recently Mr.
Jemmott held the position of Group Director of Sales for the Palm Beach
Group,
which includes three properties on
Barbados’ South Coast.
Prior to this he held the positions of
General Manager at the Amaryllis Beach Resort and Director of Sales for Sam
Lord’s Castle Resort.  Mr. Jemmott
holds a Master of Science Degree
in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Revans University
and a Fellow of International Management Centres Association.
