InterConti unveils latest Staybridge Suites

InterContinental has announced that Staybridge Suites has opened its newest,
all-suite, upscale extended-stay hotel to Kalamazoo, Mich.The
Staybridge Suites Kalamazoo is among nearly 100 hotels in the brand’s
robust Americas pipeline.

“The Staybridge Suites Kalamazoo is one of several hotels we plan to
open in the next few months,” said Robert Radomski, vice president,
Brand Management, Staybridge Suites. “As we approach our 100th hotel
opening around the first of the year, our Americas portfolio of hotels
continues to grow in areas that are in high demand for upscale
extended-stay lodging such as Kalamazoo.” 

 

While Kalamazoo is receiving its first Staybridge Suites hotel, the
brand is represented in three other locations throughout Michigan with
two additional locations under development.

The new 95-room, all-suite hotel features three well-designed spacious
suite options (deluxe studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath).
All suites include 32” Flat Panel TV’s, in-room DVD/CD players;
functional, well-lit work stations with ergonomic seating, complimentary
high-speed internet access, complimentary local phone calls and two-line
speaker phones with direct-dial number and personal voice mail as well
as fully equipped kitchens. 

 

Consistent with the Staybridge Suites brand, the new property offers
exceptional guest amenities including a deluxe complimentary daily
breakfast buffet featuring a rotating selection of hot items as well as
other healthy product offerings, complimentary guest laundry and workout
facilities, a 24-hour business services center complete with computers,
complimentary hi-speed Internet access and laser printers/fax machines,
a guest library with books and games, and BridgeMart, the hotel’s
24-hour convenience store stocked with snacks, sundries, beverages and
easy-to-prepare meals.  Guests will get comfortable in the hotel’s Great
Room for evening “Sundowner” receptions three days a week for
complimentary refreshments, light appetizers and conversation. A
boardroom is available for small gatherings and guests can enjoy the
hotel’s heated, indoor pool and whirlpool.

 

Conveniently located near downtown Kalamazoo off U.S. 131, the property
is just minutes from area businesses such as Stryker Corporation,
Western Michigan University, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, DANA Corporation
and MRC Industries. The 69,000 sq.-ft. hotel is also close to key
attractions such as Kalamazoo Air Zoo and Wing’s Stadium.

The Staybridge Suites Kalamazoo, which is owned by Peninsula Hotel
Group, LLC and managed by American Hospitality Management, Inc., under a
license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group,
is located off Stadium Blvd. at 2001 Seneca Ln., Kalamazoo, Mich.
