Six Senses Spa opens at Puntacana

The PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB has unveiled its new Six Senses Spa at the resort’s La Cana Clubhouse.

The partnership allows visitors to experience the world’s leading boutique spa chain with only 25 other select properties of its kind throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB in the Dominican Republic is Six Senses Spa’s first Caribbean project.

Occupying 5,906 square feet, the spa features 10 treatment areas, eight indoor rooms comprising one Thai massage room for individuals or couples, one beauty room and six spa suites with changing section, relaxation area and steam room. Two outdoor treatment palapas are surrounded by an herb garden and tropical plantings and have a private Yin-Yang bath.

The Six Senses Spa at PUNTACANA presents a range of innovative and comprehensive packages and therapies using Asian methods including Thai, Vietnamese Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese. Guests can pamper themselves with their choice of any Six Senses Signature treatments, massages and facial treatments, Oriental therapies
including Thai herbal treatments, Vietnamese experience and natural Thai Facial, Tropical Fruit smoother using local Punta Cana fruits and herbs, Hot and cold stone therapy, Detoxifying treatments, reflexology and hand and foot treatments. As part of the spa’s holistic focus, beauty and pampering treatments, yoga, Pilates, Reiki and meditation are also offered.

Known for developing customized treatments with ingredients indigenous to local areas, Six Senses Spa and the PUNTACANA Ecological Foundation are developing a special treatment at PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB. “Spa products will be made using natural ingredients from the area extracted from local trees and the sea,” said

Something sure to be popular with families is the “Children’s Menu,” a full line of services designed for children under 12, who pay half the normal price. Also available are half-day packages for golfers, couples and ladies, as well as the seven hour full-day spa package, “The Essence of Six Senses.”

The Six Senses Spa at PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB offers a wide range of holistic health, rejuvenation and beauty treatments to balance the senses, all administered under the expert care of trained therapists. “An international team of skilled therapists are on hand to guide guests through the Six Senses Spa journey and to advise on use of the exclusive products available from the Spa Shop,” said Chunxia Gao, Spa Manager.

Guests can unwind in indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, recharge themselves at the Juice Bar where fresh herbs come straight from the resort’s organic garden, browse through the Spa Shop to see products like organic loofah soap sets, essential oils, candles and spa cds. Gift certificates are also available.

PUNTACANA Resort & Club is the popular 15,000-acre property located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic along five miles of white sand beach fringed by groves of coconut palms and translucent green waters. The resort encompasses The PUNTACANA Hotel, a 400-room property with accommodations that include standard
