Starwood continues its aggressive expansion momentum in China with the signing of its first Four Points by Sheraton hotel in the capital city of China, Four Points by Sheraton Beijing, Haidian. Scheduled to open in July ‘09, it will be part of an integrated mix-use complex with offices, hotel and shopping centre. The 301-room property will feature 16,800ft2 of meeting space, 3 restaurants, health club, spa, indoor swimming pool and business centre.
Recognising the great potential China offers to both the inbound and outbound travellers, Starwood has expanded its footprint in China aggressively in the past 24 months. The hotel giant now operates 28 hotels in mainland China, Taiwan and Macau, with 28 under construction, and is one of the largest international upscale hotel operators in China.
