Carib cruisers will need passports
Passports will be required starting next year for most everyone entering the US from the Caribbean, Canada and Mexico through airports and seaports. Land borders will adopt the same requirement in 2008, reports The Wall Street Journal (Sept. 9, 2006).
The travel industry and some border-state lawmakers worry that the new procedures will cause “confusion and long delays.” Only 25% of Americans currently have passports.
